While I continue to support iOS 3.1.3 in my app, I am unable to test it against any version older than 3.2. Apple does not allow downgrading devices (even for developers) back to earlier iOS versions. So I’m relying on users to send me any issues they may find on iOS 3.1.3. If I don’t receive any feedback, I will assume that everything is working fine. If maintaining support for iOS 3.x proves to be too tedious, I will be removing support for any iOS version older than 4.x.

I got a hold of an iPod touch and tested version 2.1 against it. The app is instantly crashing upon launch. I’m investigating the cause and will be releasing an update to fix the issue immediately.

[Update]

The issue is present on all devices running iOS 4.1. Fix coming soon!

[Update 2]

Fix complete. Update submitted to Apple. Should be available soon!

The update has been approved and released! (That was fast!)

Changes:

- Updated graphics
- Multitasking support for iPad running iOS 4.2
- iAd support for iPad
- Fixed a bug where the app would instantly crash when launched on devices running iOS 3.1.3
- Other minor bugfixes

UkuTune 2.0 was submitted to the App Store and has been approved! It will be available soon.

Changes to 2.0 include the following:

- Updated interface
- Notes now can be played as string or tone sounds
- New Loop Mode allows quick switching between notes
- iOS 4.0 Multitasking Support
- Retina Display Support
- Early iPad Support
- Added iAd Support

The new interface isn’t the best it could be, but I’m no graphic artist. I’ll gladly accept any suggestions!

An updated version of UkuTune was uploaded to the App Store in late December 2009. I forgot to post the news update here.

Changes in 1.3.2:

- Minor UI tweaks

UkuTune has been submitted to the App Store! The update to the App was completed a few days ago, but I was having trouble connecting to iTunes Connect to upload the new binary. The update should be available within a week!
